Emily Sanders-DeMott, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Emily Sanders-DeMott earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in Saint Kitts and completed her clinical rotations at Purdue University in Indiana. One of her favorite parts of veterinary school on island was volunteering with one of the campus clubs, providing low cost spays/neuters and preventative care for the local community. Pictured above is her island pup, Toby, whom she met during her first month of school and adopted as soon as she was able.
Dr. Emily’s professional interests include surgery, neurology, and behavior, and always has a passion for educating clients on their own pets needs. She grew up about 50 miles north of New York City and dreamed of caring for animals for as long as she can remember. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology from the University of Vermont. During her time there, she fell in love with the state and ultimately decided to make Vermont her home.
For six years, Emily worked as an assistant at a small animal hospital, further fueling her passion for the profession while working toward her goal of becoming a veterinarian. She is thrilled to return to the Green Mountain State and enjoy all it has to offer. Outside of work, Emily loves hiking, exploring Vermont’s many water spots, spending time with her two nieces, and is eager to try a new hobby.
